The Upcycler's Workshop
PRICE PER PERSON £200
Bring an item you’d like to transform into a lamp to the workshop. We’ll discuss upcycling, lamp-making, and rewiring options in advance, so you arrive confident and ready to create.
If you don’t have an item to upcycle, Duncan McKean Designs can provide a suitable piece for an additional fee, allowing you to still enjoy a hands-on lamp-making workshop in Whitstable and leave with a fully functional, bespoke lamp.
Workshop duration 5 hours
The day begins with a safety briefing. I will introduce the various techniques and processes you'll use to create your unique light.
The package includes teas and coffee all necessary materials such as CE-marked light fittings, switches, LED bulbs, and cables.
I will inspect and certify your lamp, ensuring it meets current industry standards, including PAT & RoHS 2 Directives for Lighting Products.
